Outpatient Services
Description of Patient Population
- Patients from age 18 to the very elderly, requiring chemotherapy and follow-up care for many different sites of cancer. We utilize a multidisciplinary approach to treat lung, breast, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, head/neck cancers, and hematologic cancers/disorders.
Number of Beds
- The outpatient clinic has 17 examination rooms, including two equipped with beds and two equipped with massage tables.
- The chemotherapy suite has nine chairs and three beds.
Special Certification Requirements
- Attend and pass initial UK chemotherapy class, then annual UK chemotherapy certification/competency.
Special Features
- Each chemotherapy cubicle has a TV/VCR and a music system with headphones for private and personalized listening/viewing.

Staffing Patterns
- Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM--5:30 PM.
- Clinic area is staffed with two RN's and two patient care techs.
- Chemotherapy suite staffing ratio is 3-4 patients per RN and one clerk/tech.
- Telephone triage staffed with one RN.
