Nursing Magnet Designation

UK Hospital and Kentucky Children’s Hospital have been awarded the prestigious Nursing Magnet Status designation. This award identifies excellence in nursing services and is awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association. UK Hospital and Kentucky Children’s Hospital are the first in Lexington, and only the 38th of nearly 6,000 hospitals in the nation to achieve this recognition.
