VA Research Annual Education Requirements

 Effective January 1, 2007, the Overview of Good Clinical Practice & Human Subjects and the Good Clinical Practice – Update courses will be available only through Collaborative IRB Training Initiatives (CITI). They will no longer be available through the Employee

   

 

 

 

  

Education System (EES).  The VA Office of Research & Development (ORD) will accept the completion of the CITI group called “VA Only” (see instructions for registering). 

NOTE:  You can find all options for fulfilling VA human research training requirements at http://www1.va.gov/resdev/programs/pride/training/options.cfm.

 

Upon completion of the course send a copy of your “Certificate of Completion” to the VA Research Office, fax number (859) 281-4989.  The Certificate is needed to document training for the “Human Subject Accreditation” visit by the Association of Human Research Protection Programs) and for researchers to continue human subject research at the VAMC.
