Acute Care Surgery, Trauma and Surgical Critical Care
The University of Kentucky Hospital trauma program is the only American College of Surgeons accredited Level I Trauma Center in Central and Eastern Kentucky. The Acute Care Surgery, Trauma and Surgical Critical Care team provides outstanding surgical care to the Bluegrass area.

Colorectal Surgery
The Section of Colorectal Surgery emphasize compassionate, expert care of the breadth of diseases of the colon and rectum. Our emphasis whenever feasible remains non-operative and minimally invasive when surgery is necessary.

Endocrine Surgery
The Section of Endocrine Surgery is dedicated to and entirely focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and study of surgical endocrine disease: that is, surgical diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands.

The gastrointestinal surgery team comprises fellowship-trained surgeons and offers the breadth of subspecialty services to patients suffering from diseases of the digestive system.

Surgical Oncology
The Section of Surgical Oncology is responsible for the care of patients requiring operative intervention for the treatment of cancer. The surgical oncology team is closely involved with patient care at the UK Markey Cancer Center and manages multidisciplinary clinics for breast disease, GI malignancy, and melanoma.

The Vascular and Endovascular Surgery team treats the spectrum of arterial and venous diseases using open and endovascular techniques.
