The Urology Residency Program is a five year program, consisting of an initial PG-1 year in general surgery followed by four years of urology. The goal of the program is to produce an exceptionally well-trained urologist qualified to enter either academic urology or private practice.

The residency program uses adjoining facilities at University of Kentucky Hospital and Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) as well as St. Joseph Hospital, a community hospital located less than one mile from UK.

The four years of urology training are described in more detail under Rotations.
