TITLE: A Comparison of Dermal Autograft to Commercially Available Dermal Allograft in Breast Reconstruction
SPONSOR: Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation
ABSTRACT: This research will affect aesthetic surgery by demonstrating the utility of a type of breast reconstruction that provides the advantages of a reconstruction with allograft while potentially avoiding the disadvantages, such as high cost, allergic reactions, and infectious complications.

TITLE: In Vivo Evaluation of a Tantalum Nerve Conduit in Peripheral Nerve Microsurgery
SPONSOR: Supercon Incorporated
ABSTRACT: Peripheral nerve injuries occur in 5% of patients involved in trauma at a Level I trauma center. Gold standard of tension free nerve repair with nerve loss is nerve autograph. The purpose of this study is to determine if the use of the porous metal Tantulum will make an adequate, if not superior, conduit for nerve re-growth after transection with loss of nerve length.
