Research Interests
Biology of Aging, particularly focusing on (1) age-associated increase in vulnerability to critical illnesses or systemic inflammation, including sepsis and acute pancreatitis, (2) age-dependent loss of tissue proliferation capability, (3) age-dependent changes in PI3K signaling and its physiological consequences, and (4) alterations of inflammatory and thrombotic responses with aging.
