The Histology Laboratory of the Imaging Facility is located in the basement of HSRB, room 006 and provides the following services:

- Processing of samples for paraffin embedding
- Paraffin sectioning for slides
- Cryostat Sections
- H & E staining of paraffin sections
- Training on either the cryostat or paraffin microtome
- Microtome knife sharpening
- Rental of paraffin microtome


Some of the equipment available to the client includes:

- Shandon Excelsior Processor
- ThermoShandon Finesse Microtome
- Leica Histoembedder
- ThermoElectron Cryotome FSE
