Byron Young, M.D.Professor and Chief of Neurosurgery Dr. Young is Professor, Chief of Neurosurgery, Director of Kentucky Neuroscience and Orthopedics Institute and the holder of the Johnston-Wright Endowed Chair of Surgery. He graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed his residency training in Neurosurgery at Vanderbilt University. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers. He has been awarded numerous NIH and industry sponsored grants. He served on the Advisory Committee to the Director of NIH, the Advisory Council to NINDS and other NIH committees.
