How long will I be there?
|
|
The medical clinic is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 8:00pm.
The physical therapy clinic is open Thursdays from 5:30 to 8:00pm.
We are committed to having doctors out of the clinic no later than 9:00pm,
and therefore floor managers have been instructed to bring back the last patient no later
than 8:00pm in order to be seen by 8:30pm.

Follow the map above and park anywhere in the front lot of the Salvation Army. The clinic is located in the Hanger Lodge of the Salvation Army complex, the building furthest from downtown. Once inside, sign in at the front desk and the attendant will direct you to the clinic, which is at the end of the main hallway on the right. |

How many patients will we see? |
|
Expect to see 8-12 patients on any given night at the clinic, depending on the number of students available and the particular cases seen. |

How many students will be working? |
|
There are typically 6-8 students present at the clinic each night:
M1 or M2 clinical students (2-3)
M3 clinical students (2)
Floor manager
PharmD student
PT student/faculty (Thursday nights only) |

What’s expected from me? |
|
As the attending, you will be asked to review the exams conducted by students, completing pertinent points that were missed, and teaching students through a differential diagnosis. All patients are eventually seen by the attending physician before final assessment, plans, and prescriptions are written. |
