Kentucky Homeplace introduces new Regional Coordinator The Kentucky Homeplace program has promoted one of its lay health workers to the position of Northeast Region coordinator.

Health Career Enrichment Camp to be held in Hazard A region of the state that suffers from unusually high disease rates, but where physicians are in relatively short supply, soon will host a camp designed to inspire more youngsters to pursue health care careers.

Kentucky Homeplace Program Wins Advocacy Award. Fran Feltner, director of the Kentucky Homeplace program, accepted the Advocacy Award from Dr. William McElwain during Health Kentucky’s Twist & Bid Gala 2007, held Sept. 29 in Louisville.

New UK Clinic in Hazard Provides Care to Children Born Prematurely or Who Were Sick at Birth. The new UK HealthCare Kentucky Children's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Graduate Clinic officially opened today in Hazard. It is based at the University of Kentucky Center for Excellence in Rural Health.
