Throughout the four years of training, residents are encouraged to explore research projects and other scholarly activities to supplement their radiology experience.

Residents participate in two 2-week research rotations during their second and third years of training (for a total of 8 weeks) with a faculty mentor of their choosing. Residents are encouraged to identify a project or case study that will lead to an exhibit, a presentation at a regional or national meeting and/or publication of an article. Funding for paper and poster presentations are provided by the Department.
