The University of Kentucky is one of only two cystic fibrosis centers in Kentucky that are accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. It serves the eastern half of the state with patients also drawn from surrounding states. Currently, approximately 130 adult CF patients are followed in the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Clinic. This is a multidisciplinary cystic fibrosis clinic that is staffed by pediatric and adult pulmonary faculty, as well as nursing, dietary, respiratory therapy, and psychology personnel. All aspects of cystic fibrosis are managed in this clinic including the coordination of care with the UK Lung Transplant program for those CF patients who are referred for lung transplantation. The Adult Cystic Fibrosis Clinic is located on the fifth floor of the Kentucky Clinic Building and appointments can be made by calling (859) 257-5536.
