Few months into my DrPH studies bring meaning to Michael Jackson's educational understanding - The greatest education in the world is watching the masters at work.

The College of Public Health at the University of Kentucky, is a combination of understanding concepts and seeing their application by your very mentors. Couple this with the warm and genuine interest of faculty and staff in your personal and professional well being, makes it a family experience away from home. Every day is thought provoking giving more meaning and direction to efforts in advancing public healthcare, epitomized in every department of the College of Public Health. Can't think of why not be a part of CPH @ UK !

Warning: be prepared to work with the masters, it aint easy !!!

"Deciding on the right MPH program for me was challenging. I researched several different Universities and the deciding factor in the end was location. I had a desire to attend a University that not only offered me a diverse learning atmosphere, but a diverse living environment also. The few short months that I have lived here have truly been rewarding. The faculty and staff are very helpful and welcoming. I enjoy the close knit feeling of the College of Public Health and I know that I will not regret my decision. I look forward to the challenge of successfully completing the program!"

"As a MPH student I truly appreciate the family atmosphere and networking opportunities within the College of Public Health. I would encourage all prospective students to consider UK because not only will they get a quality education on one of the most beautiful campuses in the country, but they will have the chance to establish life-long friendships with people from all over the world. What I love most about the College of Public Health is that the faculty encourages you to be creative and go beyond what is expected."

"Attending UK for my undergraduate and graduate work, it was a natural progression to continue work towards a Ph.D at UK as well. I was attracted to the UKCPH's Ph.D program in Epidemiology/Biostatistics because of the extended help from the facutly and staff, and the opportunities to get experience with research in my field. My choice to transfer to UK's CPH has been rewarding in that I have already, as a first year student, been involved in several projects from various disciplines in public health. "

"Enrolling into the PhD program in Epidemiology/Biostatistics has been the best decision I've made. Although it has challenged me, it has been such a great experience and has presented me with many opportunities to develop as a student and future researcher. My experience here has been amazing. I have enjoyed the open door policy with all of my professors and they really enjoy taking care of the student. The friendly atmosphere from the college and the city was the biggest reason why I came here to get my MPH and stayed to start my PhD."
