Ramona Stone, PhD
Dr. Stone joined the Department of Health Behavior in 2010. Her main interests are in the social determinants of health and in quantitative methods. She worked as a Sociologist with the Doctors Without Borders and World Vision International in Romania, and as a research faculty in social work at the University of Louisville. She conducted evaluations for many programs of government and non-government agencies in Kentucky - in areas such as, welfare, child abuse and neglect prevention programs, diversion programs for juvenile delinquents and for adult offenders with substance abuse and/or mental health problems. Currently, she serves as the program evaluator for the Kentucky Biomedical Research Infrastructure Network, for the Kentucky Appalachian Center for Public Health Workforce Development, for the Southeast Center for Agricultural Health and Injury Prevention, and for the Cervical Cancer–Free Kentucky initiative. Dr. Stone is teaching program evaluation and quantitative research methods.
