Curriculum Vitae

Cynthia serves as Associate Dean for Workforce Development at the University of Kentucky College of Public Health. She is also Co-Director of the National Environmental Public Health Leadership Institute, Director of the Kentucky Public Health Leadership Institute, Co-director of the Buckeye Bluegrass Regional Leadership Academy. She is currently o the Board of the Public Health Leadership Society. She is past Chair of the National Public Health Leadership Development Network and currently serves as the National Balderson Awards Chair. Ms. Lamberth has over thirty years experience in the Public Health and Human Resource fields including positions in academia, consulting, high tech, and utility industries.

Prior to beginning her responsibilities at the University of Kentucky in 1999, Ms. Lamberth was President and Corporate Director of two national consulting firms. She also has extensive corporate staff experience with Fortune 100 corporations. Cynthia has traveled throughout the world delivering training seminars and consulting with managers on leadership, presentation skills, team dynamics, performance management, career development, strategic planning, Web 2.0 applications, and crisis communication. Her experience also includes instructional design and curriculum development. She has developed many courses and seminars in leadership and management including total quality management (TQM) programs for large manufacturing corporations and not-for profits. She also provided consultation and helped develop a communication campaign and curriculum on risk communication and health reform in Romania, conducted a preparedness training needs assessment, facilitated a planning committee on special medical needs shelters, and facilitated strategic planning for Kentucky statewide oral health, diabetes, occupational injury, and numerous health departments.

Ms. Lamberth took her BS in English and Communications from Wright State University and completed course work toward an MBA at the same university. She also holds her MPH from the UK College of Public Health. Ms. Lamberth participates in the National Environmental Health Association, National Center for Creativity, National Association of Women Business Owners, The Public Health Leadership Society, The National Public Health Leadership Development Network, and the American Public Health Association.
