The department is very flexible in designing an elective to meet individual student interests. Electives include the following: PSC 841 – Psychiatry Selective (General Psychiatry rotation), PSC 842 – Child and Adolescent Psychiatry elective, PSC 876 – Triple Board Acting Internship (Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry), and PSC 869 – Psychiatry Research. VISITING MEDICAL STUDENTS Medical Students from other LCME accredited institutions are welcome to do Psychiatry electives at the University of Kentucky. The four courses are described above. Interested students should contact Renee Seidel (rlseid2@uky.edu or phone 859-323-5261) at the UK College of Medicine Office of Student Affairs to request an application packet. They will handle the application and paperwork and the department will handle the specifics of the rotation.
