ABOUT LEXINGTON

Moe with her husband PaulMaureen Burbage

Educational Background
Undergraduate: Clemson University
Medical School: University of South Carolina School of Medicine, MD

Professional Interests
Adult psychiatry. I am currently interested in pursuing either a career in academic psychiatry or community psychiatry. I enjoy working with the very deserving underserved population.

My Personal Interests and Hobbies
In 1999, I graduated Clemson University with a degree in English, and I still enjoy writing and reading culturally diverse literature. My husband and I have two very goofy and naughty Boston Terriers who we treat like children. Feeding people is one of my favorite passtimes, and I love to have a house full of friends to cook for.

Why I chose the UK Psychiatary Program
At first, I thought choosing the right program for me would be a daunting decision, and I interviewed with 9 programs, big and small. I knew I was home when I received such a warm reception from Dr. Katz, Ms. Heister, and the residents. I couldn't believe a program that was so well known and respected could be so friendly and supportive. The faculty was dedicated to teaching the residents and fostering their specific interests. I knew that no matter what area of psychiatry I chose, I would receive a top notch education and guidance every step of the way. Looking back, I realize I made the right choice. I love Lexington, and I couldn't be happier with my fellow residents.
