Who may participate in PREADVISE?

You may qualify to participate in PREADVISE if you:

• are a male participant in SELECT

• are 62 or older, or 60 or older if of African or Hispanic origin

• are in general good health

You should not participate in PREADVISE if you:

• have a history of any dementia diagnosis including Alzheimer's disease

• have been told by a doctor that you have any of the following: Huntington's disease,epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, brain tumor, multiple sclerosis, manic-depressive disorder, or schizophrenia

• have suffered a head injury with prolonged loss of consciousness (over 30 minutes) in the last 2 years

• have been diagnosed with alcohol or substance abuse in the past 2 years

• have been diagnosed with depression or anxiety disorder in the past 4 months

• use any of the following medications: Aricept, Cognex, Exelon, Reminyl, or Hydergine

• are blind, deaf, or have language difficulties or any other disability that may prevent completion of the memory checkup
