The University of Kentucky

has long recognized the invaluable contributions made by our postdocs to the exciting biomedical research conducted here. Our efforts to make UK one of the best places to pursue postdoctoral training have been recognized at the national level. In a "Best Places for Postdocs" survey conducted by The Scientist. The University of Kentucky was ranked tenth among all research universities. the top-ranking institutions were found to possess a common culture of collaboration and a commitment to teaching, as well as an emphasis on training and career counseling. In order to promote this culture and help ensure postdocs have an optimal postdoctoral training environment, in 2002, the UK College of Medicine established the Postdoctoral Resource Office.
