The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, University of Kentucky College of Medicine has a newly created Professorship in Spinal Cord Injury, endowed by Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital. The successful applicant will have an established record of clinical investigation and funding in SCI research, and will work to develop a clinical research program of national prominence. The endowed professor will enjoy extensive opportunities for collaboration through an affiliation with the Spinal Cord and Brain Injury Research Center, which brings together investigators from Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy, Biomedical Engineering, Anatomy & Neurobiology, Kinesiology and Physiology. Existing facilities include a 473-bed Level 1 trauma center, 108-bed free standing rehabilitation hospital and General Clinical Research Center. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the applicant.
