Cheryl has an undergraduate degree in psychology from David Lipscomb University and a master’s in occupational therapy from Eastern Kentucky University. Her role in the lab is to assist Dr. Sawaki in coordinating aspects of research and grants development and administration. This includes working with stroke and spinal cord injury patients for the purposes of recruitment, characterization, scheduling, and running experiments. She assists in writing and editing clinical communications including grant proposals and journal article reviews. She develops and maintains grant applications, slides, presentations, and marketing materials. She also supervises general office and clinic organization and administration.
