His research
interests include studying the effect of disease (infectious disease and
trauma) on altered physiologic states (i.e., aging and obesity), and the
expression and regulation of drug metabolizing enzymes (i.e., cytochrome
P450, glucuronosul transferase, and glutathione transferase).
Dean
Blouin has been actively involved in national and local organizations,
including the American Cancer Society, American Society of Hospital
Pharmacists, American College of Clinical Pharmacy and the American
Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists.
Married
to a pharmacist (Maureen), and father of daughter (Colleen) and son
(Daniel), Dean Blouin enjoys many outdoor activities including running and
golf.
