Douglas T. Steinke - PH.D.
Dr. Steinke specializes in pharmacoepidemiology and epidemiology. Prior to his appointment at the UK College of Pharmacy in 2005, he served as an honorary lecturer at University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland, and as a research pharmacist for the Healthcare Information Group, NHS National Health Services in Scotland, and the Medicines Monitoring Unit at the University of Dundee, Ninewells Hospital, Dundee Scotland.
He holds a Ph.D. in pharmacoepidemiology from the University of Dundee, Scotland, (2001) and completed postdoctoral studies at the University of Dundee in 2002. Dr. Steinke also completed a Certificate of Health Economics from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland; a Master of Science degree in community health and epidemiology from Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada; and a bachelor's degree in pharmacy from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
He currently coordinates the third year course - Pharmaceutical Policy and Public Health and provides advisory activities for pharmacy students (Independent Studies) and pharmacy resident projects. He is a member of the UK College of Pharmacy Assessment sub-committee and the Academic Committee with the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology
