Funding Opportunities

Fellowships

Graduate students are strongly encouraged to apply for extramural fellowships. For a Calendar of Fellowships available throughout the year, please refer to the Funding Opportunities for Graduate Students Guide [pdf].

For a listing of additional funding opportunities available see the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) Web site. These include the American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education (AFPE) graduate fellowships.

Throughout the academic year graduate students have opportunities to apply through the Graduate School Fellowship Office for additional student funding to support thesis- or dissertation-related research and/or travel to present research at professional meetings (see Graduate School Support). Application forms may be downloaded from that Web site or you may obtain copies from the Pharmaceutical Sciences Graduate Program Office, Room 409, College of Pharmacy Building.

Travel Awards

Peter G. Glavinos Jr. Ph.D. Memorial Fall Travel Award
Travel allowance of $500 (to two recipients) (College of Pharmacy)

S. Elizabeth Helton Spring Travel Award
Travel allowance of $500 (to two recipients) (College of Pharmacy)

Dissertation Enhancement Award
Travel allowance of up to $3,000 per academic year (Graduate School)

Commonwealth Research Award
Travel allowance of between $500-$1,000 per academic year (Graduate School)
