- November 21 - Lindsay Calderon Dissertation Seminar: The Role of iPLA2beta in Hypertension and Vascular Smooth Muscle Cell Regulation. Lindsay's faculty advisor is Dr. Ming Gong. Seminar will take place in Room 115 in the College of Nursing building.

Feb.16 - Dr. Qingjun Wang, from the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Kentucky will present her work on mechanisms of autophagy and their link to neurodegenerative diseases and cancer - Title of the presentation is: "Autophagy regulation by the Beclin 1-Vps34 protein complexes". March 22 - Dr. David E. Kemp, Director, Mood & Metabolic Clinic, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Case Wester Reserve University will present the results of recent clinical studies on the impact of obesity and antidiabetic compounds on mood and depression. The title of his seminar is Antidiabetic drugs as modulators of mood: novel targets for the treatment of major depression and bipolar disorder. Join us at 3 PM in room MN-463.
