Additional Requirements
PA residents are expected to attend Neonatology Division Clinical Conferences and Pediatric Grand Rounds. Call will be “In-House” and will not be more often than 1 in 4 nights (averaged over a month). Initially, the PA will be on-call with a senior resident. However, as the PA becomes more experienced, the on-call partner will be changed to an intern.
Other Services
Two-week rotations will be arranged with other services at the University of Kentucky Medical Center including, but not limited to:
Pediatric Radiology
Gastroenterology
Pediatric Cardiology
Infectious Disease
Pediatric Surgery
Pulmonology
Duties and objectives during these rotations will be left to the discretion of the attending physician.
Evaluation
PA Residents will be evaluated by the Neonatology faculty as well as the attending physicians from the other services. Attendance at required conferences will also be evaluated. Residents will meet with the Program Director for a 6 month performance evaluation and a final performance evaluation.

Research Availability
For PA residents who are interested, research experience is available both in the Division of Neonatology and with other services at the University of Kentucky.
