About the Service

The Division of Surgical Pathology provides a wide range of clinical and consultative services at UKHealthCare.  The division aims to provide prompt and timely diagnosis as well as special studies for specific diseases.  The expertise of subspecialists in the division and the diversity of surgical specimens also provide an excellent environment for research and training. Consultations and requests for second opinions are welcome.

Tissue diagnosis of the complete spectrum of medical and surgical diseases, including diagnostic biopsies and resection specimens are welcome. The faculty have extensive experience in such areas as: hematopathology, oncologic, gastrointestinal, liver, breast, gyn, male genitourinary, lung, renal, head and neck, neuropathology, cardiovascular pathology, and infectious disease pathology. Also provided are special services in electron microscopy and immunopathology.
