Hematopathology Division

The division of hematopathology is highly integrated with the flow cytometry service and provides consultation in all aspects of hematopathology, including peripheral blood and bone marrow morphologic review and evaluation of lymph nodes and solid organs for involvement by hematolymphoid processes. The faculty have special training and expertise in liquid hematology, lymph node surgical pathology, flow cytometry and molecular diagnostics and enjoy access to an extensive array of immunohistochemical stains to aid in diagnosis. A coagulation consultation service is also available and is directed by Dr. Michael Blechner.

Please contact us at 859-323-5425 for information on how to send specimens and other necessary material for your patient. We accept specimens for initial work-up and also provide second opinion consultations.
