University of Kentucky Colleges of Pharmacy and Medicine Continuing Education - CECENTRAL is a full-service continuing education solution for healthcare professionals seeking a convenient source of quality accredited CME and CPE activities. The website is maintained and administered by the University of Kentucky Pharmacy and Medicine Continuing Education Office, a joint venture between the UK Colleges of Pharmacy and Medicine.

Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS)
The Center for Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Kentucky (UK) is an integrated academic home to support the emerging discipline of clinical investigation and translational science. Each CCTS key function seeks to enhance pathways, partnerships and resources to confront chronic health issues facing Kentuckians, and to grow future clinical and translational science research teams.

The CCTS will enable UK to (1) fulfill its mandate to promote and improve the health and welfare of the citizens of Kentucky and its surrounding Appalachian region, and (2) provide unique insights from the region's special populations, disease burden, and rural outreach programs that are directly relevant to improvements in the health of the entire nation.   

The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky
The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky is a non-profit, philanthropic organization working to address the unmet health care needs of Kentuckians . Our approach centers on developing and influencing health policy, to promote lasting change in the systems by which health care is provided and good health sustained, to:

  • Improve access to care 
  • Reduce health risks and disparities 
  • Promote health equity

The Foundation makes grants, supports research, holds educational forums and convenes communities to engage and develop the capacity of the Commonwealth to improve the health and quality of life of all Kentuckians. 

The Kentucky Ambulatory Network (KAN)
KAN is a primary care practice-based research network (PBRN)
 devoted to producing knowledge useful to primary care physicians and their patients.  KAN is a collaborative effort involving primary care physicians, the University of Kentucky, the University of Louisville, and the Kentucky Academy of Family Physicians. Its members include physicians, other primary care practitioners, scientists, and health policy experts, throughout Kentucky and its bordering communities.

Kentucky Institute of Medicine
The mission of the Kentucky Institute of Medicine (KIOM) is to improve the health of the people of Kentucky by providing objective, evidence-based advice concerning health and health care to policy makers, professionals, leaders of society and the public. The mission of the Institute embraces the health of all of the people of Kentucky.  The KIOM has published the following reports:

Kentucky Rural Health Association
The Kentucky Rural Health Association educates providers and consumers on rural health issues and advocates actions by private and public leaders to assure equitable access to health care for rural Kentuckians.
