2012 BARNSTABLE BROWN OBESITY & DIABETES RESEARCH DAY
MONDAY, MAY 14
The Barnstable Brown Obesity and Diabetes Research Day, scheduled for May 14, 2012, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:25 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Singletary Center for the Arts located at the corner of Rose Street and Euclid Avenue on the campus of the University of Kentucky. The awards reception at the Hilary J. Boone Center, located at 510 Rose Street, will be held immediately following the symposium .


The event is sponsored by the Barnstable Brown Kentucky Diabetes and Obesity Center, Center of Research in Obesity and Cardiovascular Disease (NIH 5P20RR021954) and the Nutrition and Oxidative Stress Training (NIH 2T32DK007778). With a focus on current findings in obesity and diabetes research, the program features presentations by nationally prominent physician-scientists, as well as regional researchers chosen from abstract submissions.



The poster session will run from 12:30 to 3 p.m. and include lunch. Deadline for abstract submissions is April 30, 2012. During the poster session, a team of UK faculty will judge the presentations in the categories of faculty, student and staff and select nine presentations for awards.
