General Obstetrics

The decision to have a child is a milestone in every woman's life.  At UK HealthCare, we offer the most comprehensive obstetrical care in the state.  We have the ability to deliver routine prenatal care, prenatal ultrasound diagnosis, Down's syndrome screening, genetic counseling, diabetic counseling, and fetal monitoring in one convenient location. 

When it is time to deliver your baby, our birthing center has an obstetrician, anesthesiologist, and pediatrician in the center at all times for you and your baby's needs.  Take an online tour of our birthing center.  After delivery, the birthing center's staff is committed to facilitating bonding and breastfeeding.

Education is an important part of prenatal care.  UK HealthCare provides childbirth education classes on campus or online.

If you're pregnant...


Contact us for an appointment.  You will be scheduled for an OB Screening appointment with our nursing staff within 1-2 weeks.  At this appointment, the nursing staff will review your medical history and perform routine prenatal lab tests.
