The average age of menopause is 51 years. Women have specific healthcare needs during the transition to menopause and during the menopausal years. The focus of women's health during this time period is concentrated on health maintenance, cancer screening, bone health, hormone replacement therapy, and sexuality. Our physicians have a special interest and training in this important part of women's health. If a health issue is discovered that needs further specialized treatment, our physicians have access to an appropriate specialist at UK HealthCare.
