Maternal-Fetal Medicine |
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the
University of Kentucky, College of Medicine, Lexington,
Kentucky is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible
physician to join the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine
(MFM) for a full-time faculty position.
Responsibilities include clinical care (prenatal diagnosis
and treatment, advanced obstetric ultrasound, invasive
procedure and high-risk pregnancy consultation and care);
teaching our outstanding residents and medical students,
perinatal outreach, as well as involvement with clinical
outcomes or basic research. We offer PhD supported
research programs, and our faculty members coordinate BIRCWH
and COBRE grants. Dedicated research time is available
and will be consistent with the applicant’s research
experience and interest. The Division of Maternal-Fetal
Medicine has a Board-Approved three-year Fellowship which
takes one fellow each year. Experience in teaching and
supervising medical students and resident physicians is
desirable. Applicants should also have an interest in

General Obstetrics and
Gynecology
|
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the
University of Kentucky, College of Medicine, Lexington,
Kentucky is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible
physician to join the General Obstetrics-Gynecology Division
for a full-time faculty position. Responsibilities of
this position include inpatient and outpatient case
management, gynecological surgery, labor and delivery
coverage, and participation in teaching activities with
residents, interns and medical students. Development
and participation in research activities and involvement in
hospital and university committees is strongly encouraged.
Special interest in "niche areas" such as gynecologic
imaging, infectious diseases, pelvic pain and minimally
invasive surgery is sought. Experience in teaching and
supervising medical students and resident physicians is
desirable. Applicants should also have an interest in

Gynecologic Oncology |
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the
University of Kentucky Medical Center is accepting
applications for a full-time faculty member who is either
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gynecologic Oncology to
join the Division of Gynecologic Oncology to participate in
a full range of undergraduate and graduate teaching
programs, all facets of patient care, and support and
development of multidisciplinary, basic and clinical
research in Gynecology Oncology. We encourage research and
offer PhD supported research programs. The Division of
Gynecologic Oncology is a full member of the GOG and has a
Board-Approved three-year Fellowship which takes one fellow
each year. Experience in teaching and supervising
medical students and resident physicians is desirable.

Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility
|
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the
University of Kentucky Medical Center is accepting
applications a one full-time faculty member who is either
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Reproductive
Endocrinology to join the Division of Reproductive
Endocrinology and Infertility. Applicants should be
proficient in all aspects of Reproductive Medicine and
Surgery including Assisted Reproductive Technology. We
encourage research and offer PhD supported research
programs, and faculty members coordinate BIRCWH and COBRE
grants. Dedicated research time is available and will
be consistent with the applicant's research experience and

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the

physician who specializes in the evaluation of urinary
incontinence, overactive bladder, and pelvic organ prolapse
for a full-time faculty position. Responsibilities of this
position include inpatient and outpatient case management,
care of women with problems related to bladder and
urogenital health, gynecological surgery, and participation
in teaching activities with residents, interns and medical
students. Development and participation in research
activities and involvement in hospital and university
committees is strongly encouraged. Experience in teaching

Community-Based Faculty Positions
|
The Department of Obstetrics and
Gynecology at the University of Kentucky, College of
Medicine is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible
physicians for full-time positions as community-based
faculty members. UKHealthCare Obstetrics and Gynecology
Women’s Health Clinics are located in Georgetown, Hazard and
Morehead, Kentucky and are expanding to locations throughout
the Commonwealth. Responsibilities of this position include
inpatient and outpatient case management, gynecological
surgery, labor and delivery coverage, and participation in
teaching activities with residents, interns and medical
students. Development and participation in research

Qualifications |
The Clinical Instructor requires an MD, completion of an
accredited U.S. Ob/Gyn four-year residency program, and
demonstrated research involvement and competence in
communication and teaching.
The Assistant Professor requires an MD, completion of an
accredited U.S. Ob/Gyn four-year residency program,
completion of an approved fellowship program, demonstrated
research involvement and competence in communication and
teaching.
Associate Professor requires an MD, completion of an
accredited U.S. Ob/Gyn four-year residency program, and
completion of an approved fellowship program. Additionally,
the candidate must have proven scholarship and research as
demonstrated by involvement with studies, reviews or other
considerations in the discipline such as the development of
educational materials, venues or opportunities, must be
determined to be a very strong educator of medical students
and resident physicians, and show evidence of participation
or membership in professional organizations or committees at
the regional level.

Research Assistant Professor
|
The Department of OB/GYN at the University of Kentucky is
seeking an Assistant Professor in the Regular Title series
in the area of ovarian physiology. Applicant should have a
strong foundation in molecular approaches to ovarian
function through their postdoctoral training including
experience with basic techniques such as PCR, in situ
hybridization, and DNA microarrays. Preference will be
given to applicants utilizing techniques to explore
functional endpoints of ovarian gene expression such as
siRNA and adenoviral approaches. The responsibilities
include directing and managing a laboratory performing basic
and translational studies in ovarian physiology, supervising
staff, teaching medical students, OB/GYN residents and
fellows and serving as a research mentor for undergraduate,
graduate and postdoctoral trainees. Applicant will join an
active research program examining ovarian function in the
human and in rodent models. |
