Through the leadership of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, UK has become a major referral center that is regarded in Kentucky, the region and the nation for its treatment of patients affected by gynecologic malignancies.

The Division includes five faculty members, who are board certified or board eligible specialists in Gynecologic Oncology. These physicians have completed advanced training in all aspects of oncology and radical pelvic surgery as well as laparoscopic surgery.  They provide compassionate individualized care to women with ovarian, cervical, uterine and other gynecologic cancers.  Patients are eligible to receive the most advanced treatment through participation in a number of national clinical trials.

Division of Gynecologic Oncology is  committed to educating the health care providers of the present and future and to conducting research that will lead to more effective prevention, prevention, detection, evaluation  and treatment of women with gynecologic cancers.
