The purpose of the study is to evaluate funded local community partnerships for tobacco prevention in Kentucky using a variety of intermediate and primary outcome indicators. The objectives are to (a) design and implement an evaluation plan for the state tobacco control and prevention program, and (b) assess progress on primary and intermediate outcome indicators to eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke, promote smoking cessation, prevent youth tobacco use initiation, identify and eliminate disparities among populations, and build capacity for tobacco control.
