White coat ceremony held for seniors
The College of Nursing held its
white coat ceremony for second-semester seniors in early
October. The event, held during the fall and spring semesters,
marks the transition from regular classroom lectures and one
clinical day each week to a capstone placement that is 30 hours per week
of clinical practice, under the mentorship of an experienced
registered nurse. The College’s alumni association began the white coat
tradition with the graduating May 2006 class.
