Student Rights and Responsibilities
As a student in the College of Nursing you have the
right to know what is expected of you. This handbook will allow
you the opportunity to become familiar with our policies. We will
also expect you to become familiar with the policies stated in:
The University of Kentucky Bulletin, the University of
Kentucky Student Rights and Responsibilities, the
University of Kentucky Medical Center Behavioral Standards in
Patient Care, the University of Kentucky Medical Center
Health Sciences Student Professional Behavior Code,
University Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA),
and University Policy on Sexual Harassment.
Examples of policies pertinent to students are:
- repeat option
- cheating and plagiarism
- grievance procedure
- common examination
- special examinations
- grades and marking system
- final exams
You will be held responsible for information in the
publications listed below.
