Medical Center Scholarship Opportunities

Academic Excellence Scholarships
These competitive scholarships are made available to currently enrolled, full-time students in the College of Nursing who have completed at least 12 semester hours at UK with a cumulative GPA of 3.50. Students who will receive any scholarship from the University's Merit Scholarship Office are not eligible to be considered for these awards. Awards are for one year only and students must reapply each year to receive a scholarship. Requires a separate UK Medical Center application form.

Enhancement Scholarships
This scholarship endowment award is established for the purpose of recruiting outstanding African-American students to the University of Kentucky who are interested in the health professions. The award is granted to undergraduate students admitted to nursing and who show evidence of outstanding commitment to a career in nursing.

Wright Recruitment Scholarships
This scholarship endowment award is established for the purpose of recruiting outstanding students to UK who are interested in the health professions. The award is granted annually to undergraduate students admitted to nursing who qualify as a University Merit Scholar (ACT composite score 27 and a high school grade point average of 3.0).

Floyd Wright Nursing Scholarships
This scholarship endowment award is established for the purpose of recruiting outstanding students to UK who are interested in the health professions. The award is granted to undergraduate students admitted to nursing and who show evidence of outstanding commitment to a career in nursing.
