Clinical Scholars Post-Masters in Nursing Objectives
The objectives of this option are the same as those
for the M.S.N. degree program, which are to:
- Evaluate theory, research, and clinical
knowledge for development and implementation of innovative
approaches to care.
- Provide advanced practice nursing care
consistent with the American Nurses Association standards of
care and professional performance.
- Analyze factors that influence advanced
practice nursing, health and health care (including biologic,
psychologic, social, economic, cultural, political, ethical,
legal, and geographic factors).
- Evaluate the outcomes of advanced practice
nursing and health care using appropriate research methods.
- Use theory in the management of health care
resources to deliver effective and efficient clinical services
and programs.
- Collaborate with others to meet the health
needs of populations.
- Contribute to the advancement of health and
health care through leadership in practice and the profession.
- Collaborate with others to identify and
resolve ethical issues in health care practices, research, and
policies.
