Goal of Clinical Scholars Post-Masters in Nursing Option

The goal of the clinical scholars option is to provide nurses holding advanced degrees in nursing with an opportunity to gain formal educational preparation in a new area of clinical specialization. Just as in the M.S.N. program, the focus is on the advanced practice of nursing. In this option, nurses with prior graduate degrees in nursing gain advanced knowledge and skills in the nursing care of a defined population of clients. Such specialized knowledge and skills are the basis for nursing leadership in health care, and a foundation for developing further expertise in doctoral study.
