The Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology is
committed to ensuring our students have an enriched training experience.
The Department is utilizing a portion of the Research Challenge
Trust Fund dollars, contributed by the State of Kentucky, to subsidize
graduate student travel. This travel is generally defined as the
costs incurred to:
- present the student's research at a national
meeting. In this case students must first apply to
The Graduate
School for their Student
Support I ($400 annual allotment)
- attend a second meeting to present research
during the same calander year (in which case Graduate School
funding is generally not available)
- travel to some other site to be trained in
a specific technique not available at the University of Kentucky
(where an application to the Graduate School
for Student Support II has also been made.
Each request is limited to $500.
These monies are meant to contribute to offsetting the overage travel costs
charged to their advisor's grant. Further information is available by contacting
the Director of Graduate Studies (Dr. W. Cass -
wacass1@uky.edu)
