Only applications sent through the Central Application Service are accepted. We do not require additional material, but request a wallet size photo be brought the day of the interview.

To complete your application file, we will need the following:

  • Application
  • Personal Statement
  • Medical School Transcript
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Dean's Letter
  • USMLE Scores
  • Wallet size photo

The Department of Neurosurgery wants your stay in Lexington to be informative and comfortable. We will have a social dinnerthe Wednesday night prior to each Thursday interview. Applicants offered an interview will receive more information about the time and location of dinner and interview. Our residents and their spouses or significant others will be present to discuss the residency program in an informal setting.

The interview day will start with breakfast at 7 am with our residents. This is followed by 30-minute interviews with each of the faculty and the R3 resident. This is followed by a resident guided tour of our facilities. Following lunch faculty members in Neurology, Anatomy/Neurobiology Research will meet with applicants as a group.
