Center for Muscle Biology

PhD Programs

There are currently about 30 students studying muscle as part of their PhD research at the University of Kentucky. The Center supports their work by fostering innovative, world-class research and stimulating educational activities but does not run its own PhD program.

Instead students enroll in Department or College-based Graduate Programs. These include (links open in new windows) :

• Biomedical Engineering
• Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry
• Nursing
• Rehabilitation Sciences
• Physiology

This structure encourages collaborative research and integrative study. Students who are interested in studying for a PhD at the University of Kentucky should contact the Center Director or a Faculty member that they are particularly interested in working with.
