Charles Smith M.D.CHARLES SMITH, M.D.
Dr. Smith is a professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He is the director of the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) Memory Disorders Clinic at the University of Kentucky Sanders-Brown Center on Aging .He is also the director of the  Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy center at University of Kentucky. He received his medical degree in 1979 at Tulane University in New Orleans, and completed his neurology residency at Dartmouth in 1984. Dr. Smith is currently funded for studies of Cognitive Reseach as a Protective Factor for Dementing Diseases (Kleberg Foundation) and Detection of Presymptomatic Alzheimer's Disease utilizing fMRI (National Institute of Nerology Disorders and Stroke).
