LAPAROSCOPIC FELLOWSHIP

This is a one year MIS fellowship comprised of clinical and research opportunities.

The fellowship has been in existence since 1998. The fellowship provides trainees with a broad experience in abdominal and gastrointestinal surgery. Fellows work closely with colorectal and minimally invasive surgeons to gain a diverse experience. Fellows are trained in laparoscopy, endoscopy, as well as traditional open surgery. Each fellow will be provided training in colorectal surgery, surgery of the foregut, hernia repair, and solid organ removal. Fellows participate in didactic conferences involving medical students, surgery residents, and faculty surgeons. Fellows are expected to submit abstracts to local, regional, and national society meetings.
