Graduates and Careers

With the broad-based experience of Med-Peds residency training, our graduates have pursued a wide variety of careers. One-fourth of our graduates have entered competitive fellowship programs to pursue subspecialty training; several have even pursued combined (adult and pediatric) fellowship positions. We are particularly proud of the large numbers of our graduates who participate in medical education of students and/or residents. A substantial number (18%) of our graduates have full-time academic positions, while even more serve as clinical teachers, instructing medical students and residents in their offices. Our graduates are currently practicing in 17 different states. Most are practicing in the Midwest or southeast U.S., but we also have graduates as far away as California and Alaska.
