The UK Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Program

Welcome to the University of Kentucky Med-Peds program. Established in 1983, we have a long history of providing excellent education in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. The goal of our four-year curriculum is to prepare residents for successful careers in a wide range of fields: outpatient primary care, hospital medicine, subspecialty fellowship, academics and/or research.

One of the greatest strengths of our program is the strong work ethic and camaraderie of our residents. Our residents are well-qualified and come from more than a dozen U.S. medical schools. They are dedicated to creating a relaxed yet educational atmosphere and providing the highest quality patient care. Our residents are recognized for their excellence, receiving numerous teaching and clinical care awards. In addition, over the last five years, five of our residents have been selected as chief residents in either Pediatrics or Internal Medicine.

If you are interested in our combined training program at the University of Kentucky, please peruse our website. This is an excellent introduction to our program, and will hopefully answer most of your questions. Also, do not hesitate to email myself or any of our residents (see the Resident Corner Page) with questions. We are always willing to help!

Good luck with the application process and we hope to meet you on the interview trail!

Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics

Please take a moment to read a letter to you from our Med-Peds Chief Residents.
