Enrichment
New for Fiscal Year 2010 -- For sponsored projects active on or after July 1, 2009 (i.e., FY2010), the Office of the Vice President for Research is implementing a revised approach for returning a portion of the realized facilities and administrative (F&A) cost income to the departments, centers and institutes that generated it. The goal of this Research Enrichment Program is to ensure a more equitable distribution of F&A income and to support the university’s strategic objective of facilitating interdisciplinary research and collaborative scholarship.

Within the College of Medicine, only those Departments or Centers that were approved for participation in the previous incentive/enhancement arrangement will be included in the revised process. To facilitate participation, a new form has been developed to assist in determining an appropriate distribution/allocation of these enrichment funds. This form should be completed and attached to any IAF that includes distribution of enrichment funds to more than one unit. The form can be found at this link: http://www.mc.uky.edu/medicine/COM Enrichment Program Worksheet 2-15-10.xls (requires Excel to view)

Bridge Funding Guidelines
The purpose of bridge funding is to assist faculty that have been previously supported by extramural funding and have submitted an application that has been declined, but that has a reasonable chance of being revised to be funded. Open this document for additional details.
