Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows





Graduate training in the biomedical sciences at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine encompasses the Integrated Biomedical Sciences, Ph.D. degree programs, masters and certificate program, and training resources and opportunities for postdoctoral scholars and fellows.

Ph.D. Degree Programs

Admission to Ph.D. programs in the UK College of Medicine is primarily through the Integrated Biomedical Sciences (IBS), the first year curriculum for the seven doctoral programs listed below. 

In addition, students may apply and be admitted directly to the Ph.D. programs in Nutritional Sciences and Toxicology.

Graduate Certificate in Clinical and Translational Science
Graduate Certificate in Anatomical Sciences Instruction
Graduate Certificate in Medical Behavioral Science

Postdoctoral Resources

Supported by the Postdoctoral Resource Office, the Postdoctoral Advisory Committee provides resources for postdocs, faculty and staff.  These include the Postdoctoral Development Seminar Series and the Postdoctoral Research Seminar series that offer training in ethics and in professional competencies needed for career advancement.
